Why Are So Many NBA Players Getting Ejected? 5 Hot Takes For Your Convenience

So in case you’ve missed it, player ejections have been going on nonstop in the NBA; and not just regular player ejections, but star player ejections *gasp*. Everyone’s getting tossed out! Boogie’s getting tossed, Lebron’s getting tossed, Shaun Livingston’s getting tossed (not a star but still), and of course, king of them all up to this point, Kevin Durant’s getting tossed! Most of the stuff is pretty boring, ya know, just swearing at the refs and head butting them every once in a while. But hey, compared to the usual amount of ejections we see during the year (not many), this is relatively exciting stuff. What do you think, all the guys have suddenly become bad boys? Maybe the refs have gotten tired of getting pushed around?

I figure everybody’s probably racking their brains trying think of what could be going on so I decided to just package all of the hot takes of the above players into one concise blog. Here we go!

  1. Kevin Durant realized he wasn’t clutch and so decides to get ejected in the 4th quarter to miss any potential “clutch time”.
  2. Shaun Livingston knows his best bet of hanging around the Warriors is to fit in with Kevin Durant who’s king of being ejected- also, you can’t be out-ejected by Kevin Durant because he’s such a nice guy, and that makes you a weiner.
  3. Lebron James realized that it’s easier to get ejected for complaining than to get criticized for resting games, so this is his new thing.
  4. Boogie Cousins’ getting ejected about as frequently as he usually does.
  5. Referees are trying to fill the massive hardo void left in the wake of Joey Crawford’s retirement. Sure, none of them have challenged any players to fights yet, but they’re settling in nicely to ejecting everyone for everything.
