From the start of this blog, it’s been a mostly solo-enterprise. I’ve had close friends reading and steering me in terms of voice, material, and direction, and I obviously work together with my anonymous tipster Nick on the blog-podcast “Here’s A Podcast Are You Happy Now?” but the writing has been all solo. But, after reading this letter, I have to hire this kid.

I love every part of it. I love the wreathes on one side and the skulls on the other. Telling Santa that his life is empty? That’s something this blog needs more of. Referencing the darkness in his life? I’ll take a double dose of that. Ending with “Love, I'm not telling you my name”? That’s a sign off I can get behind. I love it,  I love it, I love it. If this kid wants a job, he's hired. There's no pay, there's no health insurance, but you make your own hours, you get to be an asshole, that darkness has gotta go somewhere!

Fuck Santa! He doesn't know the trouble you've known. His notty list is full of shit, is good list is full of shit, and good god I need to work with this kid. I don't know what it takes to be a good blogger, but this kid's got it.
