220 Passengers Shit And Vomit Out Their Souls On A Cruise And How Do People Still Go On Cruises?

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSET) — Royal Caribbean announced that about 220 passengers aboard a five-night cruise to Jamaica suffered from a gastro-intestinal illness.

The popular cruise line said in a statement to ABC News that the illness represented 4.86 percent of the 5,547 guests and crew onboard.

I feel like this happens on every cruise. If you decide you’re going on a cruise, you’re accepting the fact that there’s a 4% chance that you’re going to get a horrible sickness and you’ll be stuck on a ship with no escape. Sure there’s also a 96% chance that you’ll be fine but the alternative is that you get norovirus and end up puking and shitting your brains out below decks. Seems like a worst nightmare to me.

The people who’ve been on this ship have seen WAR. I can’t imagine there are many worse things than being trapped on a giant boat while hot excrement exits your every available orifice in the company of 250 other people who are also trapped below decks leaking shit everywhere. To me, there’s no difference between this and a 1600’s ship with people dying belowdecks from dysentery, or whatever made you shit your brains out back then. You want to see what it was like to come to America in 1642? Come on our Royal Caribbean cruise and see what it’s like to die a slow death in the miserable company of every other sick person on ship.

Why do people do this to themselves! It sounds like a horror story! I barely survived my food poisoning experience and I was sitting in a room that wasn’t rocking with the ocean, and I wasn't sharing the toilet with a family of 8 who was also shitting and throwing up everywhere. I can’t wait to go on my first cruise!
