Hypothetical Thetical Of The Day: If You're Going To Stash Explosives, Make Sure You Don't Stash Them At The Location Of A Double Murder

A neo-Nazi leader in Florida was sentenced to five years in prison on Tuesday over his stash of explosives, which the authorities discovered while investigating one of his roommates in the killing of the other two.

Officials were alerted in May to the explosives belonging to the neo-Nazi, Brandon Russell, by his roommate Devon Arthurs, who warned them that Mr. Russell had written online about plans to kill people and detonate bombs.

Mr. Arthurs confessed in May to shooting their other two roommates for disrespecting his newfound Muslim faith, the police said.

Hm seems like maybe you should have moved those, huh. This is mind numbingly stupid. I guess if it’s good that anybody’s dumb, then it’s good that neo-nazis are dumb. But seriously, come on guys. When one of your neo-nazi roommates kills two of your other neo-nazi roommates, and the police decide to investigate it because it’s a murder, that's time to reconsider all of your bomb hiding spots. For most people hiding high explosives, the second your roommate gunned down your pals with NFL Sunday Ticket in the background, you’d think “maybe it’s time to move the bombs”, or “hey, the police might come around here, and gee whiz, they’d sure be pissed to find all of these things that can blow up right quick.”

I can’t decide whether this guy is super-dumb, or whether he thought he’d be able to hide the explosives from the police or what, but fuck he’s a terrible criminal! You may have some book smarts neo nazi but when it comes to the street you’re dumb as a rock. Imagine that, police snooping around after a murder, crazy town. This is crime school 101: don't hide explosives in an active crime scene.
