COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah - A Cottonwood Heights mom and politician is turning heads because of what is on the back of hers.

“I’m a little bit different,” admitted Councilwoman Tali Bruce. “I hope to let the citizens know that I’m not just your average run of the mill politician.”

Look I’m all for politicians being different. The mold we’ve set so far hasn’t been working out extraordinarily well for us, so hey, keep switching it up! But this, I mean come on. This screams cool parent at an Arcade Fire concert. This is just such a ridiculous move if you’re a council member of Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Let's be honest, this is the second term of mayor for this town, ever; so I don't know if this position really, um, matters.

This is such a  “look I’m a parent but I’m also going to be a cool hip politician” move, and sure everybody who’s old thinks it’s cool, everybody on the PTA loves it, but I don’t think any kids are like, “Dude check out that politician who shaved our city’s logo into the back of her head!” This is just lame. This is try-hard. If you want to be a different politician, do things differently. Don’t pull a cheap stunt like this trying to convince us how sick Burning Man was last year.
