What The Fuck Is Pickleball?

There’s something called Pickleball? What the fuck is Pickleball? The greater purpose of this blog has been lost due to the fact that I can’t find the article that brought this to my attention today, but the question remains: what the fuck is Pickleball? Well here’s an answer: Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.^[2] Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications.

What? This games has rules? This game is similar to other games that exist? When I researched this I expected to find some niche following, not an updated Wikipedia page and rule sets! It sounds like this thing is just smaller tennis with a wiffle ball, and that’s exactly what it should be called.

Have people known about this? Have I just been living in the dark? Can I write an entire blog just asking questions? There’s nothing I hate more than looking stupid, and I feel stupid. I mean at this point, I feel like people are just making up sport after sport- and it takes nothing short of an Adderall prescription to keep up with it. Damn kids and their trends.
