David Copperfield Reveals Secret Behind One His Tricks In Court: Is A Coward, Should Have Kept His Mouth Shut And Gone To Prison Like A Real Magician

This is just unacceptable if you’re David Copperfield. This is the worst decision he’s ever made in his life, worse even than deciding to be a career magician (which to be fair, has worked out well for him - before now I guess). What’s rule number one of being a magic guy? You never reveal your tricks, ever. Never ever. Not for multiple millions of dollars, not to save you mother's life, not for any thing. If you’re David Copperfield, you go to prison before you tell everybody how you do the “make the audience member appear at the back of the room” trick. That’s sacred shit right there. Nice work, David, now who are all the little fake magic children in training supposed to look up to? Definitely not you, you freakin’ heretic. For the record, I really expected a more complicated explanation to the trick, but I digress.

This is a huge missed opportunity for Copperfield in more ways than one. Not only is he a coward, but he’s also missed a chance to cement himself as the most devoted magician in history. You would not be able to not respect David Copperfield for choosing prison time over loose lips. Think about it, you would be THE GUY: the only person on the planet willing to go to prison to hide their trick. That act alone, over all of his others, would put him in the upper echelon of performers in my mind, and FAR above any other fake wizard.

Has anybody ever seen any serious movie about magic, ever? In a sweeping generalization I’ll just tell you that they’re all about magicians who commit crimes with their tricks! I bet 100% of magicians would love to end up in court because of one of their pretend spells. You see, infamy’s the only way to make it to the top as a magic man these days . Way to go David, you had the chance of the lifetime and you blew it. 

P.S. Unrelated but totally related, getting sued because you made somebody run fast and then they fell into a pit has got to be a huge bummer.
